At the heart of this piece stands a mountain that isn’t imagined, it’s remembered.

Inspired by the ridge lines of Mt. Whitney, this design carries the shape of a climb that tested lungs, legs and purpose. Representative of not just the literal climb, but the perseverance we all seek to scale our own peaks in life and achieve greatness amidst monotony. 

Long before it was known as Mt. Whitney, this mountain was called Tumanguya by the Northern Paiute, roughly translated as “Old Man” or “Guardian Spirit” watching over the land. That presence still lingers. You feel it in the silence, in the wind, in the weight of standing somewhere that has meant something long before you arrived.

Framed within a woven circle, the mountain rises above still water, grounded and reflected. Around it, pine and cone elements reach outward like the wilderness itself, a nod to my reverence for trees and life renewed. Below, three feathers hang in quiet balance, a personal mark of legacy, representing what matters most beyond the climb…my children.

This isn’t just a landscape.
It’s a reminder.
